I cant answer for my forum colleague but the faults on ours took from 4/10/08 to 29/4/09 to fix most of them , mainly a fridge

One fault is still outstanding.

Discover darlington for any potential shoppers in this area.

Was that from Darlo too?

Its a disgrace. I had a real go at them localy + head office as well as speaking with bailey and dometic (dometics std of service round here in my experience is the absolute pits)

In fairness to the new service manager in post at Darlo, he did get things sorted. My gut feeling was that dept was not running at peak efficiency previously ( to be polite)

I'll get you a coffee next time we're all there

I've got to be honest I would not go back there to buy again unless the savings were massive and there's no way on this planet its going there for service.

When I was in collecting the van there were two other people at the desk, one guy from Durham way (if I remember) who was complaining not so much about his sprite vans faults more about Discovers attitude towards it!!! there was me of course and last but not least an older lady who had travelled to the Darlo branch in the hope getting better service than at Discover Birtley.

Its not good is it.

I have to admit, we absolutely love the van and to be fair the main fault in ours was the fridge which was is Dometics failing along with discover as the agent. Bailey were actually very good chasing it up.

Which one do you have? where is the damp getting in?

If its taking this long and a new van tbh I'd be in touch with trading standards. Is there a chance its never been of merchantable quality ?

I really do hope you get it sorted soon

its a ranger 500/5 of 08 vintage and the front window was catching so they moved it up AWAY FROM THE SEALS then when it rained next it was in storage so we never found the damp till it was too late, ita also had new cupboard doors due to delamination and a warped tiolet door to name just a few faults. But we still love it. KEV.

Hells Bells sounds like a claim would have them by the ging gang goolies

If it helps, i seemed to finally get decent service when I phoned the dealer principle , left it a day or so then Discover head place (who rang straight back!) and bailey. I think Darlo got a good shove and were straight back onto me.

If you want any info drop me a pm

Good luck

Thats not bad if the service is covered for free (if you trust them ) , on ours its not and its around £230 with them. I'm thinking of going up to United British @ Wideopen, they'll do it whilst you wait and just under £200 I'm told.
