Absolutely get your point, and completely. They should never of touched or turned it off or even at the very least notify customers that it is what they do. If I worked there I would just cover the camera or the windscreen.

I get that....
My point is, that this is recall work because of a globally recognised major failure in the vehicle's saftey management system. All we seem to be getting as the owner of the vehicle are our keys handed back and a guy saying "there we are Sir, all done". These Takata branded airbags are so bad, they've been the cause of catastrophic injury and death. Our vehicles should be in for an immediate mandatory replacement of the unit as stated on the Nissan recall notice. This has to be backed-up by a piece of paper at least on their part for what are now legal reasons. If we ever decide to sell our vehicles, a document saying this work has been completed might be requested by the prospective new owner. My truck has been called-up again, because all they did last time was check the serial number on the existing unit which was obviously deemed to be from a 'good' batch. This took them all day! So,what work is being "done"?... Ps. Haha Literally as I write this... a Recall Notice from Nissan has just been handed to me by postie! |
