It varies from part to part, batch to batch, they have a trade discount rate as defined by their system

The discount however doesn't apply to gearboxes or engines

Reliability, from all my experience on this site, and over 18 years of Maverick ownership, the reliability starting with the most reliable... in my opinion... is:-

2.7 Td non intercooler version
2.7 Tdi intercooler
3.0 Patrol engine

Now, quite ironic, but that is the same order of increasing power too.
Also increasing mpg.
Also starting with the earliest built engine, and finish with the latest offering.

Early ones, gas guzzlers, low powered compared to the later ones, but spend more hours on the road, whereas later ones have more power, better economy, and spend more time in the garage than the earlier versions.

So this is the main reason I still have mine after 18 1/2 years of ownership.

There are of course exceptions, but my findings are based on a lot of information (hear say) from this site, and my failing memory

Well, thanks to all you lovely Nissanites, I fiiiiiiiinally took the plunge:

So now, new proud owner of a silver '04 plate Terrano 3.0 Di SE (don't like the full leather SVE and Sport was too expensive). Mileage is 109K with most history. Paid £2995. Few small problems, but the little dear made a very good impression when she ran from Glasgow to Devon without a hitch, in foul weather with a strong headwind at 70-80 and still returned almost 30 MPG.

I knew there were a few issues - none major fortunately. Small ding, leaking fuel tank (any advice here - common problem?)

But am very pleased, and thanks again to kind folkses who should be polishing their Mavericks and Terranos.....

Fair play mate

Do you know if it's leaking from the actual tank or if it's leaking from the fuel lines?

I'm surprised you haven't noticed it's been running rough as the pumps on these suck fuel from the tank, if there is a fuel leaking, this can also allow air in which can cause rough running and will manifest itself by either juddering, not responding as quickly to throttle depression or white smoke from exhaust

If you want a nice easy way of checking your fuel system for air, take a look at my for sale thread below, I'm selling clear PVC piping cut to size to replace the feed and return rubber piping from your fuel filter housing, this will show you any air bubbles that are present in your fuel lines that could be causing or potentially cause future running issues

Also if I'm not mistaken the leak off pipes on the older ones are rubber rather than metal like the old ones so these may be worth a check too
