Well. The car is primed and set for its first short haul tomorrow - off to Toulouse in France and back. Should be long enough to see how she goes six up with clobber
I forgot to say that mine is a 1997 model GLS 2.4 Maverick and by trawling the threads it seems that these pre 2000 cars are a bit better built than later models (notably paint-wise it seems). Mine has no rust whatsoever... ....Just that bit of wood holding the window up mentioned earlier in the thread Could not get the bits in time so my first job on my return in a weeks time. Let's hope for some snow Dave |

Well, back from the little road trip. Truck went well. Only rear exhaust box started to blow about 300 miles from home. I managed between 17 and 27 mpg loaded up with seven folk and gear. Very comfortable cruiser. Quiet and very easy to drive. Impressed for the money. No off road yet but thinking of treating it to a Matt black vinyl wrap and some deep dish 16" steelies...

Sorry bit late but but had to catch the banter. Welcome to the club! Everyone on here is a really friendly bunch and like to have a good laugh too! I strongly suggest paying the £10 for all the extras you get, I paid up yesterday and ive gotta say, the knowledge and downloads section is immense!! |

Thanks gents. I have paid for membership via Paypal about a week ago and sent a PM to 'Banshee' about it as he advised me earlier in the thread. Who should I notify about this please? Many thanks. Dave

Hi - thanks for replying. I just was not sure whether or not the monies have been received/all good etc. I can access the download section now so assume things are 'activated'? That's all.....no worries
