Yes it will effect the mpg by giving you an extra 5-7 mpg because with the extra torque the car will perform better in higher gears. There is a hill were I live and before the re map I would struggle in 3 rd now I fly up in 4th. Its made a huge different.

Well its not about how many, but the quality of the post.
Some just post for posting's sake, with total jibberish. We all know who they are! To be serious, those posts are just as important as it makes the site what it is. There is a comradeship on this site, between many, we have all been offered help in one form or another from people we have never met. There is also the banter, the jokes, and lots of good advice. best regards, Rustic

The Td doesn't have a re-mappable ECU, as said by other members. Some have increased the fuelling on the pump and the boost pressure from the turbo, BUT if done wrong can damage the engine. Others have fitted K&N filters to help it breath more easily, or put nitrox type additives with the fuel but most of these only give a marginal increase in performance. These standard non intercooler engines are built to last, 300 k miles without a spanner to them is achievable. Regular oil and filter changes is the important thing to do. Rustic
