5 speed manual. It's a joy to drive, although it needs a service and had a hissy fit yesterday and wouldn't start (blocked fuel filter). I'm sure there will be a few more issues, the teething problems you get with a second hand car.
I notice that when you go up a steep hill you have to keep it in second for a long time. I wouldn't normally rev a car that hard before changing gear, but if I change to third the revs die and it won't pick up. I think it's just different ratios/torque output from the old car (4.2 straight six normally aspirated - had longer legs than this car). |

yeah, they just arent that powerful, I have to do pretty much the same thing. I can go into third up a steep hill, but it will slow down a lot. Often wondered if a good service and tune up will help, so thats next on my list...

think with a turbo you do need to work it a bit more, though the zd will amble
round and into a t junction in third that would have seen the t2 going down to 2nd. it also pulls the caravan out of roundabouts in third at relatively low revs far better than the 2.7tdi. dirve it like you stole it lol
