its the ALKO electronic stability control. Its excellent

Bailey were one of the first manf to start fitting it as standard on quite a few in the range. Works well, we got hit by a side wind crossing a bridge and it kicked in first trip out.

Not sure when they started fitting it to the senators

Nice van. It looks like the same layout as my Burgundy, but I don't have a toilet window.

I second the ATC thing. 100% stable towing... so far.

This is my first caravan, so I have nothing to compare it too, but before buying I was told loads of horror stories about the van snaking etc, so I thought seing as though it's fitted and the van was affordable it would be a good idea.

I did forget to engage the Alko hitch stabiliser down once and it did handle slightly different, so I am convinced its doing something, also we were overtaken by a very large HGV, and I'm sure the trailer control kicked in momentarily to keep it altogether.

That said though, I don't doubt you would be OK with it all turned off, arguably you might drive more cautiously.

I don't use them either, and i tow caravans in excess of 2.5 tonnes! I usually find the heavier they are the less they sway anyway. Lighter caravans tend to be affected by side winds and overtaking trucks much more.

and no stabiliser is a substitute for loading the caravan properly, and having the right tyre pressure!
