I bought an electric shower, a Triton I think, from Argos some years ago, which had packed up after a couple of weeks of normal use.
When I took it back I had a major problem with a snotty supervisor, who argued that because I had lost the receipt, how could she know that I bought it from them. This went on for about 30 minutes, when as I was looking through their catalogue , as she went off to get someone more senior, I noticed that the model I was trying to return was exclusive to Argos. Got my money back, but really felt poorly treated. Suffice to say I try my best not to go there anymore. They are a spent force now with the advent of online shopping anyhow! Other stores I have had real problems with were Comet and Toys R Us. Alan |
