Its faster and for those of us who've been on it for a long toime it had tabbed browsing long before IE.

+ its free and you're not lining Bill Gates' pockets..


Anyone use open office too.

tend to have f as a back up to ie, its also more private shall we say, offering
to clear cache and history files.

Absolutely 100% spot on. I dont think firefox is open source but its certainly more developer friendly than ie therefore more add ins that are more reliable and generally what the punter wants as opposed to what ms think we want.

You can easily revert to ie if you want.

Check out the "private browsing" feature on v3.5 onwards

Go to tools>start private browsing or just press ctrl+shift+p , you dont need to clear because it doesn't remember

That feature is aka "Porn Mode"

Teenagers around the world using parents computers will be soooooooo pleased

The two main benefits of Firefox Zippy are (i) so far, at least, it hasn't been targetted by hackers, spyware, malware etc in the way that Microsoft products are, and (ii) for me the best thing is NO BLOODY POP-UPS!!!!!

Other than that is just a bog standard browser.

Problematic too new out to be too reliable , a sad fact of life.

My missus had it on her xp laptop it slowed it down and screwed up quite a few sites,no idea hwy but it di. Removed and fitted firefox with a program called speed dial to give it the same feel & convenience....no probs
