I know, for example, that you can't contract out of the law, common or otherwise, so even if they get you to sign a disclaimer,if you have an accident on their land and hurt yourself, they are liable.

Difficult balance.....

PS, I MAY BE THAT PLANK YOU ARE ON ABOUT?
I've only just joined the club and wanted to try some "offroading" went out greenlaning with terranosourus (see 23rd march thread in greenlaning section) had a great day out. I've had no real experience of this type of driving but found nothing too taxing to either me or my nav also you get to see some fantastic scenery instead of quarry walls
Very helpfull and friendly guys too
The kids would have an ear to ear smile

I find green laning far more interesting so don't have a great experience of Pay & Play sites but the good ones like Parkwood (Tong), which operates all year round as a motoring venue for allsorts of stuff not just 4x4 P&P are very well but strictly marshalled, speed limits one way systems where appropriate etc - sre there are still the occasional roll over etc but thats to be expected comings together should never ever happen. At Parkwood people get asked to leave if the need arises.

Thumbs up Langdale

Langdale in north yorkshire was a good pay & play doings, but too much pay for the play. In my opinion any rode.
I believe bad management forced it to close in the end ?
