yor 2x v8 and raise you another pair.

poker t2/ tractor pulling, mind might have to take out passenger
and rear seats.

belive someone did stick 2 rover /buick v8s together to from v16.

Anyone familier with the Deltic engines used in locomotives and
gun boats, now they can make some power in a relatively small
unit. 3 cylinders each with 2 pistons in them driving 3 cranks
in a triangular formation. way adhead of the VW 'w' engines..

How about going the forestry route - mid-mounted diesel engine for power supply with hydraulic motors on each wheel.....nothing would stop it!

thought id do an update on this thread .....

quite possibly found a lock up unit to share with some landy lads
they are a fun bunch some do competitions others are just mental but good at modding

the mav in question an l reg mav td , will be going in the lock up for a long while for a full strip down
it seems to be in good shape albeit with a dead engine. but thats unimportant

i plan to remove the shell / body back to a rolling chassis to see exactly how these things can be modded and lifted to the max

either by changing the chassis to accept a proper front axle to get proper lift.. i dont know the possibilities but id like a t2 rear axle on the front but id need steering somehow

also looking at maybe mid engine range rover or something

if the project gets this far i want to mould a roll cage into the bodywork

but i want lift and big lift with big wheels

its all dreams at the moment, all i have right now is first refusal on a good secure lock up cheep and a mav that owes me nothing and its in nice shape. so a good start to a project. i also have friends with big ideas and plenty of talent out there.

so its a starter for now

any thoughts ????

find a written-off R***e R***r and put the Mav on to the chassis...they'll never know.....i think you should be walking round with a tape measure in your pocket from now on...at least nobody will think you're pleased to see them...
