Default Today Is A Good Day

With loved ones for strength, tears in my eyes, fear in my heart and god watching over.
Mr C it is time for you to leave as you are not welcome here with me. Let battle commence by evening time recovery commence. For tomorrow is my new start as worries will be gone and my loved ones for strength.
Mr C you won’t pass by this place again for you are banished from my life for ever more, goodbye Mr C.

I hope you don’t my little verse, suppose it could be called a poem. I know today is a relatively simple procedure and others have gone through this before me but right now I feel alone even though I’m not. I shall not let this cancer beat me. After a couple of hours I won’t be back online for a while. There’s a lot of unknowns to worry about and I am.

Keep on it Jim, you will win through, your body caused the cancer, your body can reverse it, keep your mind strong and you will win, Rick

Thumbs up The unknown is more fearful than the known even with big C.

My thoughts are with you mate, as you take each step forward you will you will look back afterwards and say to yourself WTF was I worried about!

I was not on any Forum when I went through my dark days (1987 & 1990) - my support was from the wife plus believe it or not a group of mostly retired guys in my then local pub who I saw at lunchtimes as the place did a £1.00 lunch to boost beer sales!

They included a retired Fire Officer, an Accountant, a Ships Engineer, a British Rail Coach Builder, a Retired Vicar & retired Male Psychiatric Nurse not to mention the odd alcoholic.

Sadly out of the fluid group of half a dozen blokes only one is still alive. Most though just lost the fight with old age or couldn't access the premises in a motability scooter.

Thanks guys it’s been a long day.

I’m comfortable though the catheter stings a little.

I am truly humbled by our wonderful NHS, the staff have been so nice. I’ll not know the true extent of the tumours for another few weeks so a bit of a wait. All I can do is sit back and be looked after.

I’ve got support from so many good friends on here and in my life along with a wonderful family it has been a great help.
