Default Free camping in Spain

https://ecoinventos.com/lugares-espa...ar-libremente/
The map is self explanitory, simply a map of places where you can overnight freely with fear of being fined.
In Spain there are villages that could fine you for simply parking up a mobile home, but I think these places for us intrepid car campers and RTTers are a godsend (even better if you know the proper wild camping spots where los plod is unlikely to venture ).

Angry Camping in Spain reminded me of a tragedy back in the late 1960's

My Best Mate and fellow petrol head from my College days had a younger brother who went camping to Spain in his VW Camper Van with his then girlfriend who he was at Uni with.

The were caught in a Thunderstorm whilst out in the open near a tree and she was struck by lightning. He sought help from a nearby Farmhouse but was unable to revive her. She was wearing a silver necklace and it was thought that this concentrated the strike to her head.

His father who was a devout Catholic told his family it was divine retribution for his sins as they were not married.

It was several years before he sought a new partner, he is now married with grown up children. I met him again for the first time in over 35 years at my mates 70th Birthday Party.

It is. I know it was a bit off post but the event is a real tragedy from the time.

Both my wife and I thought of it the moment we clapped eyes on him and his wife at my mates 70th birthday bash.

I have avoided any names as it is a small world and I would hate for him to happen upon this post by accident and for it to trigger bad memories for what must have been an awful ordeal to come to terms with.
