There's something very very wrong with some of you folk. I was merely wondering if you thought he crept up behind unsuspecting flies and tried to push them over.

First it's Banshee trying to catch sheep, a tail we still haven't got to the bottom of. Now we've got Maca and MPete discussing the sexual attraction of cow shit!

I'm starting to wonder if you're not coming here for the hunting! (Punchline to a VERY rude and funny joke, which I will commit to the forum when I've got 10mins and my laptop in front of me).

Back on topic, be very careful with poison. If a dog or cat gets to the cake... or to the poisoned squirrel...

Or even a nosy neighbour kid...
Air rifle is a better solution, but be weary of your local gun laws.

I think there may be some kind of law about shooting a neighbours kid...... but then again.

Agreed, I used to shoot greys with a .177 at 11.5ft.lb !! 100% head shots, very dead every time

Its a tiny ballistic tipped bullet with a helluva lot of powder behind it. It shoots flat out to about 100yards but being small and light gets a bit "drifty" after that. It's not great in windy conditions, but on a day with light wind I'm usually about 70-90 yards from target pests. You can't eat anything after though as the bullet fragments on impact, so riddles the target with bits. That is one of its strong points, you don't get ricochets like a .22 if you miss, it just breaks up.
