I daily drive my terrano 2.7 and its really pretty great, comfiest car i have owned and ive owned a fair few, i have driven in it for 10hrs straight before and it was grand, does feel like your driving about in a boat but i think its brilliant.

Well I picked her up from the garage yesterday so I could get some work done for the mot, it was ace having a drive of it again. Compared to the brand new van i am driving?, brakes-shit, acceleration-shit, handling-not bad, knowing I can drive almost anywhere-priceless , it was like coming home and I miss it even more now

My parents had a few Land Rovers over the years, as my Dad's a retired farmer.
I was never a 4X4 bloke, but I used to admire Clivvy's truck every time I delivered to our Huddersfield branch. I think I loved the colour more anything & then I learned he after selling, my MG was dying slowly so the truck was purchased for when the MG died. The MG lasted around 5 more months & then the Terrano took over as the main vehicle. Compared to the MG, it's very slow, corners like (we all know don't we ) but I love it. I did a 230 mile round trip on Sunday & felt just fine when I arrived home. I was quite disappointed we didn't get any snow last winter, but we will & I hope before she dies, probably from tin worm, I am doing my best to keep her from crumbling She'll last a few more years with a little TLC. My other car is the Monaro & in a totally different world. Twice the motorway speed limit can be obtained in a few seconds & yes I have done more, but only briefly as I value my licence. Unfortunately she's been off the road for more than two years as she needs a new clutch that can cope with the extra horses she now pushes, bigger brake upgrade is also needed. She will need four new tyres as I wouldn't trust the old ones on a car with all that power. I have far more important things to be spending on at the moment, my house & garden have taken priority. Having spent £13,000 on my garage, the drive & pathways are next in line for some Presscrete. |
