Thumbs down I had that a few years back with VM - it was flooding of the wiring

Someone cut through the fibre optic cable or water ingress ?

I guess you are entitled to a pro rata reduction of your fees for all part or full days lost, plus an inconvienience fee.

You shouldn't need to fight much for the pro rata reduction, just log times when the Broadband service was unavailable.
Tell them you have had to use your mobile for internet at a considerable cost in order to deal with important internet issues.

Snap!!!! That's why I wasn't online last night.

We've been having outages like there's no tomorrow, it's really not fair now, we've been having issues for months. I've decided we're cancelling the weekend

I tethered my iPad last night but have had a text from my wife saying it's back on again. Normally VM are pretty stable for us.

I lost mine from Friday noon until I found the problem, power supply down, enough to run the indicator light, not enough for the router, didn't figure it out until sunday night, Three gave me a free Gig as a good will gesture as I am a good customer they say, still used 1.5 gig until I figured it out. VM arrived dead on time 11.45, they said between 8 and 12, so he just made it. nagged me a bit for using another 12V supply
