Just had a text from my wife, I suggested she called into our local hospital, to see if she can pick up a couple of night bags, she has... Thank goodness, other than that we would have to make a special journey to my treatment hospital, 20 miles away. Little things make such a huge difference. I really used to get so stressed out when my Mav went in for it's MOT... wow... when it comes down to your own health... it puts it into perspective... I really didn't know what worry was... Although, I have suffered work related stress over the years, as I used to worry about the simpler things in life, now I realise how unimportant that really was. I'm sure stress makes you more vulnerable to illness.

Although I passed my Inspectors exam a few years before I not only refused to go for a promotion board but I also declined to be acting Inspector when it was offered me. A fellow rookie Sergeant at Alfreton was a chap called Roger Baker who went on to become Chief Constable of Essex Police and was a H.M.I. and now is a director at Colchester Hospital. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...s-awarded.html He was an okay guy and clearly ambitious he did go through a divorce after he left Derbyshire. He is in the news again as link I just found shows! |
