Default Autobox 4wd Question

Been on my mind since I bought the project car as it's an automatic. With my manual in 1st and low box I know it'll not run away down a hill but gently pick it's way down nice and slow and steady.

How will an auto do this or won't it?

works the same as low box first in the manual.
the auto does tend to run away more than the manual but i just flick overdrive off when using low box 1 and 2 in my auto.

If you check out the nominal ratios, then o/d off, gives you some seriously good ratios, that are compatible with low ratio 2nd, that you would normally use......or at least that's what I found when teaching off road with a auto box, compared to a manual box......
