All the RHD PR50 platform R3mr's I have actually seen (3 others) had drums on the rear and TBH the brakes were fine.

I suspect that the specification might be dependent also on the Country they were imported from as no doubt those built for places like Australia might have had the full disc set up. Mine was imported from Japan when it was 3 years old.

Then again it could have been to save money but often manufacters up the spec on run out models to attract buyers before the new model launch.
