Default Hello to all

Hi everyone, that's me just joined up and about time. I've had two Terrano's and now own a Y61 Patrol lwb as a family car, I do like Nissan off roaders. I also have a really good disco 1 as an off road monster but I quite fancy selling it and finding a swb 2.8 y61 patrol as an out and out off roader but struggling to find anything. A y60 could be an option but it really would have to be a good one preferably kitted out. Anyway, hi all it's nice to be here

Thanks guys. As long as the initiation test involves alcohol I'm in.... lol.
Im planning on a custom stainless exhaust for the lwb trol to help the performance and a 2 inch pedders lift but I have to be careful because its the family car and my little girl refuses to go in the disco because it scares her, poor little thing.
That should do the patrol for most greenlaning type of events but I can't shake the desire for a swb monster.
Once I get the girls in bed I will see if I can get a couple of pics up.

It's a Pedder's lift on mine, can't complain, HD springs and foam cell shocks. I've had air and barely noticed! (no jarring).

What engine have you got in your Trol bud, is it the 2.8 or the 3.0?

Hi guys, thanks again for the warm welcome

Barrbeast its the 2.8, I felt safer going for that after reading the horror stories with the 3.0 and not really knowing what to believe at that point. Did you have to change anything else with the lift or was it just springs and shocks? Ps you're not too far from where im from originally, grew up in Crieff

Red face I like them Patrols - envy mode engaged !

When I go to my Dentists in Ashboune I park on the hill on Derby Road and there is a slightly scruffy Patrol parked on the street as there is free all day parking there.

I always wish I could have found a nice Automatic one but when I looked they always seemed to be manuals with Starship mileage so it never happened for me.

Still hoping the Missus will settle into the Jeep G/Cherokee it reminds me so much of the r3mR except the engine thrums rather differently being 5 cylinder.
