Don't bother trying to do them yourself mate I've attempted mine and sure I've made them worse, it seems to be chattering even louder now
I followed the instructions given by everyone but I'm sure I must be doing something wrong, my truck is really starting to get me down again, so many niggles and then that truck hitting me up the arse, I really feel like buying another one and starting over. I feel like I've made all the mistakes on this one and my next one will be thoroughly cared for Sorry to hijack the thread a little there Alex Here's the gasket that you want; http://www.milneroffroad.com/nissan/...cover-gasket-1

IIRC the gasket is cork like the old mini ones & not that costly but have taken the rocker cover off before & not replaced the gasket just cleaned the surfaces & tightened it back down after doing the tappets & never got a leak

Gasket is molded rubber as long as it is not hard it will be fine, but most likely it will be the original so best of replacing it, most that I have seen are leaking a little and at 100k plus you cannot blame them, Banshee tappets are a piss to do, how can you get it wrong? Rick
