My money is on the rear diff now. I remember it being explained previously by rick i believe, if I remember right the symptoms are identical.
Oh and by rear diff i mean wrong oil (non lsd) |

just read post 11, you have auto front hubs, remove them and try it, they can go dry and cause bad problems, Rick

Hi welcome to the club.
We know these trucks better than the main dealers, if we don't have an answer, then it can't be fixed. We are a friendly club, and learn from each other, there are many downloads that will enable you ti fix problems you never knew you had. Preventative maintenance is always best, rather than waiting for something to break. This is why I have kept my Mav for over 19 years. and there are still a few trucks running that are even older. Steering stops first choice, they need greasing two to three times a year, maybe more if going through lots of water. Even waxoyl on them helps. Best regards, Rustic

the tyre size is wrong surely it should be 235/70/16 not 275/30/16

Excellent, sounds like i have enough info to go to the mechanic with and try sort the problem.

This `clunking` is I think present on mine also.....who supplies the steering stops please?

Nissan should supply plastic steering stops but far easier and cheaper is to blob some grease on them a couple of times a year.

i would imagine you have fixed hubs with it being an 03 plate. pop your centre cap off and you will easily see which you have. welcome.
