Hello 4x4 ers
Hi people,just letting you know who i am,
I'm steve known as barny,i come from a village near Pontypridd,S.Wales but have moved to Bulgaria and have been there for a year now.I sold my S reg swb maverick td before i left as i had a camper to take. Used the 4x4 for 2 years with no probs for all types of work Great,so decided to fly back and buy a Ford/Nissan,well i have it's a Terrano tdi 1999 7 seater from EBAY,first impressions were good and it drove great and i thought i had it for a good price BUT it has a wet patch in passengers footwell and the dreaded NON STARTING problem now (2 days later) 8) ...THANKS JAMBO 163 not...for not letting me know and being a s%%t |

Hi Barny.
Water in the footwell sounds easy and there are two usual culprits. There is a black plasitc grill panel below the windscreen on the outside. Remove this and look down into the cavity and you will see a small rectangle shaped plate. Remove and reseal the plate with some kind of sealer. Open the passenger door and look towards the front of the openning, you will see the bottom of the wing. Mud collects behind the plastic mud guard under the wing and lodges at the bottom corner allowing water to spill into the car through the door seal. Hose this out with water and do the same at the drivers side. Jim T |

thanks jim for the tip,as it hasn't rained and i haven't been anywhere wet,could it be the heater matrix?how much are they and how hard to fix?or shall i just join the 2 water heater pipes together for now and not have heating as i have to drive the 4x4 to Bulgaria in a week !!!
