Is it really necessary to tell insurance about minor mods i cant immagine any 10-15 year old vehicle on the road that exactly the same as when it left the factory.Suspension lifts and engine performance mods yes but in a minute they will be classing shopping in the boot as a mod

Thanks for the link to the insurance.
I tell them everything so they have no wriggle room if I have a crash, 'sorry guv you did not tell us about that'
There was an example on TV a while ago, a bloke was refused a pay out on his whole life insurance, he had not told them his dad died of cancer

Being a boring old fart I read the small print, there was no mention of removing seats, I had told all three Tesco staff I spoke to, so I called to get removed seats added, that makes it a commercial vehicle he said, cover declined.
Just as well I read the small print, I could have been driving uninsured if I had taken out the Tesco cover.
So it is a call to Adrian first thing Monday, the other guy I was referred to went straight to answering machine I will try him too on Monday
Anyway if you have a bog standard car give Tesco a try

Thumbs up Result

No luck with Dave Brewer, toooo pricey
However I went on line and got a quote from Flux Direct, with same modifications £355 which worked out £20 cheaper than the renewal price from Adrian Flux before modifications. I spoke to Abbey who is from Adrian Flux renewals, she was very helpful, and the Mav is still classed as a car not a van

So same company same policy and I am £20 up, well worth the time spent on line and on the phone, that saving is around a days pension

Better to ring them get quotes online with adrian flux.

Anyway sounds like your pretty happy with that price.

Can I ask how many NCB you used for the insurance on that vehicle?
