Default Hello All

Hi My name is Marcus and I am from Bristol. I purchased on the weekend a 93 Maverick 2.4 as a bit of an ebay whim. I have liked the idea of owning a 4x4 for some time allthough I was mostly looking at big things with V8's in. Unfortunatly my wife will only let me have 1 car with a big engine and I cant part with my 300zx Nissan.

Anyway due to said nissan (300zx) being rubbish on fuel I have always has a cheap run about off ebay as my work car, mainly Vauxhall Carltons as I generally only like to spend 500.00.

Well I had recently sold my last Daily Runner (A mondeo) and didnt really need to replace it since my wife has pretty much stopped using her car anyway, but I saw the Maverick for sale and temptation got the better of me.

Bored you yet LOL.

So to the important stuff my Maverick.

She is a 1993 2.4 GLX SWB in Grey (I'm sure it dark green though)
I paid a whopping £300.00 and that included 12 months MOT. I expected paying that little for one of these vehicles that I may have been in for some nasty suprises, but their don't seem to be any. There is a small amount or rust on the rear arches (which seems rare from other Mavericks/Terrano's I have seen) The passenger Elec Window doesnt work, small leak in the exhaust and the radio doesnt have a code. Apart from that All is fine.

I am chuffed with it TBH, took a little getting used to driving it (its my first high up 4x4 style car) but now i'm really liking it more and more, so much so I though I would join and mingle with fellow enthusiasts.

Good luck and if you need any spares give me a shout as I've just another one to break.

I've highlighted the work carried out for this years MOT.

Visually the bodywork is in great condition apart from the rear arches, probally as this one was used by a horse owner off-road, and the lady never cleaned it often (was covered in hay inside when I purchased)

No extra's one her, no bullbar or steps in stuff.

I'll get some pics on the weekend.
