That IS a Toyota Hilux, not a Nissan, but built by Volkswagen. Volkswagen also built the Hillman Avenger as the Volkswagen 1500 for many years. South America is a very strange place.

It's just a licensed Hilux. No more Volkswagen in it than there is Ford bits on a Maverick.
