Default potential TROs - Peak district

From a friend of mine in laning circles.

It's a number game, the more people who email the better chance of it not becoming closed. Even if you don't live in the area...

If you think "ah never mind someone else will email..." Then say bye to them now.

Quote:
The Peak District National Park want to ban all recreational vehicular users and are proposing to do this by a series of TRO (Traffic Regulation Orders), even though we have been in discussions with them.

The first two are probably the most iconic lanes in the the Park – Roych Clough and Stanage Edge.

Documents can be found here:
http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/looki...sultation-2012

It's now just a numbers game and we need you to write/email PDNP and oppose the TROs. One or two sentences will do!

If it's not obvious, you need to email:

long.causeway@peakdistrict.gov.uk

and

roych@peakdistrict.gov.uk

ASK FOR CONFIRMATION OF RECEIPT OF EMAIL

I posted a link to Radio 4 Farming Today programme a little while back.

It sounded to me that the park authority had already made their minds up.

Regards

maybe, but it takes 1 minute to write a short email.

Person who I know is big into the laning scene and knows lots about it. If he didn't think it would help I doubt he would of posted it to me.

It's a formality, they have made their minds up.

They will do the whole peaks over the next few years.

Pay and play is the future of offroading unfortunately

Anyone else?? If you have the attitude it's not in my area. What happens when one is and everyone else has the same attitude?

Hundreds of motorcyclists supported by 4x4 drivers took part in a protest day in the Peak District National Park against plans to ban them from trails. Pictured are bikers at Stanage Pole, near Redmires, on one of the trails from which they could be banned.
