Default Hey 'Plank'

I just heard that Eric Sykes has died

Then I remembered this.... and thought of you

You'll need 45 minutes spare.

That's sad to read. He was a 'giant' of british sitcom, and films.

Cool

Yes he was a great comedy and joke writer, strangely 'the plank' had no dialog if I remember, not like 'our plank'. Regards. Bri

LOL, at Bri and Paul. Yes a giant and yet in a subtle and unassuming way.

Requiescat in Pace, Eric

A little poem from Emily Dikinson Seeems appropriate here:

I stepped from plank to plank
So slow and cautiously;
The stars about my head I felt,
About my feet the sea.

I knew not but the next
Would be my final inch,--
This gave me that precarious gait
Some call experience.

She must have been referring to being on a wooden square rigged sailing ship at night!

Eric Sykes RIP
