Default Laurie ash

Hi all new to the site also new to Terranos i have a 2001 3 door 2.7 se.
i have had landrovers for the last 20 years so not new to repairs.
decided to try a nissan for more reliabilty i hope.
the vehicle came without a locking wheel nut key its like a rounded star shape i think its fitted from new?
play in the wheel bearings on the front are they ajustable?
also in need of a red drivers door mirror plastic cover. and crome centre wheel cap. does anyone no where i can get the parts.

um youll need to pm cncfab.. hes our local "online" braker.

yes shounds about right. any tyre centre can get them off, need new ones to replace them, or just nuts..

Mine is the same but its all crome, dont know how to add photos, yours looks to have some colour black on i wonder if it will polish out.

Welcome aboard Laurie. I've seen the chrome wheel centres on ebay loads of times. Usually Zipps and Briggie rush to post a link to the online manual but I'm sure they'll stop slacking soon
Anyway no need to remove wheel to adjust front bearings. From what you've said you sound kind of handy so take a look at this link, it's all about changing disks but it shows a good photo of the adjusting nut. http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/d...kshop/wk36.pdf
The adjusting nut is below the free wheeling hub in the centre of the wheel. Check out the Quick Links for other usefull downloads.

Dead easy to add photo's, when your composing a post or reply scroll to the bottom of the page and "manage attachments". Just be carefull with the size of photo your posting. You may have to edit your photo first.

to pm.. click on private message top right , on left scroll down till you get to send new message. then in recipients username box start to type cncfabs.

his name will pop up..

then fill in the rest as needed...


or double click on his name if you search for him..
