What Tyres do I fit 225/45 R17 91W ?
I am looking at replacing the horrible run flats on my BMW 325 SE petrol with some "Normal Tyres" as I am unlikely to ever wear them out during my ownership of the said vehicle (2k miles p.a.) I want to buy the best ones I can afford.
MY run flats are Nokian they are noisy and give a harsh ride but TBH the steering/feel/grip are pretty good. My brother has the Michelin Cross Climate XL's on his Volvo Estate and firstly I like the look of them and they are pretty good for wet grip / winter and low noise levels. The old XL version are £105 each and the later XL plus are replacing them at £115 each. It's a shame you can't go to the tyre depot and try different makes on your vehicle before you buy. I like the Cross Climate but they are at the top end of my budget. My other choice would be Yokahama Advan Sport V105 at £85 each. My main requirements are low noise and good wet grip anyone got any advice or experience of tyres on a none 4x4 vehicle so I can do some research and look at other options. I was a fan of Vredestines as I had them on my Mini but they appear to have been left behind a bit by some of the big manufacturers. All suggestions welcome with any personal experience you may have. |
