Bonnet Guard colour

Went up to Scotland today to see a good friend & old forum member & he's given me his old bonnet protector off his old T2

Now it was clear when he got it but he painted it black which looked good but due to age it needs redoing but can't make my mind up if it should go black again or I spray it silver to match the body work or even dark grey like the bumpers & door mouldings for a nice contrast

& before anyone says it yes it is getting fitted

also got a pair of headlight & indicator protectors
