new kid on the block
Since 1972 until a month ago I've always run petrol Vauxhalls, from a Viva, Astra (3) Cavalier, to a Frontera. They've all given reliable long service but I neaded something more powerful to tow with. So.....Just bought a 2004 3.0L auto terrano with 28K (yes: 28000!) on the clock. Cat 'C' write-off that's been partialy repaired (bodged!) to road-worthy standards.
The air con is damaged beyond all but expensive repairs but I'm not bothered about that: will dissconnect it & remove rad., when I get the chance, to improve the air flow. I've already removed the (damaged) main fan & viscous coupling & fitted a Kenlow electric: as this was cheaper, anyway, than buying a new pump/coupling assy. from Nissan. Being well practised in keeping Vauxhalls going, for over 40 years, I feel somewhat at a loss now. Am going to nead lots of advice so please help where you can. |
