Laptop has thrown a wobbly and wont play anymore

It's an old Toshiba Tecra and was working fine till last week when the power supply unit went into meltdown

Now have a new one and the lappy wont fire up. The battery has charged up ok, the power light comes on but no processor fan or screen action

CD drawer wont open either.
Is there any sequence of button bashing to bump start it ?
