Camping in France/Spain

Hi all me and Karen feel we need to have a different type of holiday this year.we are planning on going 22nd aug for two weeks,we fancy camping France/spain,any cheep good campsites or routes. we like the countryside or Lakes.we are going to throw all the kit in the back of a Clio

and leave the terrano at home.any ideas ? remeber we are both in our
50s.done all the beach etc.two years ago we did the Pyrinees in a old 92 discovery,as part of a guided tour. Laurie/Karen
