I remember, long ago, when my father passed his motorcycle test then the only other vehicle he could then drive was a three wheeler, in fact he bought a reliant regal. A condition at the time was that the reverse gear was blanked off, could you believe that. Now some motorbikes have reverse.

So he became very profficient at parking, drive through on car parks etc, don't parallel park, and never get too close to the vehicle in front.
Park on a hill so you can roll back etc.

So you should be able to do a journey without using reverse.

Maybe we all should try it, and see how far we get.
It's more difficult than we think, but with care you should be ok.

2 tonnes is not a weight that one person alone should try to push.
