the chain itself will probably be fine, it is the tensioner arm that goes it will be in the sump, I have not done one in situe but the hard bit is the cover is sat between the head and the sump so one has to be loosened in order to remove the cover the sump is cheapest but not easy as it cannot be removed completely, totally impossible even if you remove the front diff I do not think you can get it away completely so cleaning the old sticky stuff off and applying new is difficult to say the least, do not go to nissan if your chain is worn they want an arm and a leg for some thing that cost peanuts just cos it has two links on it for timing purposes, buy a chain from alternative sources £20 max against their £85, tensioner and gaskets (most important oil feed specials) from Nissan are reasonable price, if you look back on my post I did say about cold overnight start is the only way to show it up, Rick
