ever felt like a idiot ?

tonight coming back home from huddersfield , i noticed a very strong burning smell , it was like burning insulation , so i stopped and checked under the bonnet , everything seemed ok , temp was normal , lights /horn etc worked ok , so i got back in the car and drove a bit further ... but i could still smell burning , ........it was then i noticed a plume of smoke rising from someones back garden
