Ok, the odd bit now and again, we've all done it, but if this is your normal way of working, then think again.

Swarfega or similar products are better for the skin, but do require a lot of working in, before you wash off with water.
I use a scrubbing brush, but also a foam backed pan scourer, which I find works better.
I find constant washing with washing up liquid, dries the skin, and you end up with deep cracks in your skin.

Rubber gloves fall apart when in contact with waxoyl, and they grip too well when you are fitting nuts and bolts and get caught in the threads and rip.
