Default We went out today

We were booked in to take the caravan to a Steam fair in Bedfordshire this weekend, which of course could not happen, so we decided to get up early, and go up for the day anyway.

So there we were at 6am this morning, with the first alarm going off... we slept through it... luckily the second alarm at 6:15 sort of put us into that semi comatose state, where you can here the alarm, but as it is still dark, you decide to ignore it... a third alarm, at 6:30, wound the girls up enough, that they sent Flyte up to wake us up, and tell us to sort the annoying noise out. A couple on nipped toes on Suz, is always guaranteed to wake her up, and start the day off in a good mood!!

So we get out of bed, and drag ourselves downstairs, finally managing to get both eyes open by about half way down our hot cup of tea. The girls, are not impressed that we actually got up, they don't do early rising... so only Flyte bothers to come down stairs with us, to see what this new game of early mornings is all about. While I do ferret medicines, and put the Ikea 7 out into the run for the day, Suz, makes us each a sausage in a bread roll for breakfast, and a second cup of tea. Snowy and Megan decide that this is a new weirdness the humans have got to, smells good enough to come down and supervise breakfast.

We are finally awake enough to get into the car, and decide to take Flyte with us for the day as well, so I get the carrier ready, sort out a lead, and pack some food.

We get to the Steamfair after a couple of "Comfort brakes" for the ladies in the car, at about 9:30, just as the rain is finishing for the day, and after parking up, in a small allotment, with it's shed at the end...

we sort Flyte out, we head off for another cup of hot tea., Suz should be awake and talkable to after this one!

I am wearing a hoodie, I have never worn a hoodie before, but I chose this one, as it has one of those "right through" pockets across the front, and I thought it would be ideal for Flyte to sleep in as I walk around. Sure enough, as soon as I show her the pocket, she climbs in, and makes her self comfortable, kicking my mobile phone, car keys and wallet out in the process, so they all migrate to my trouser pockets.

We sit down for our cup of tea, oh and maybe a Bacon roll, after all, it's 3 plus hours since we had breakfast, so by my reckoning, it'smust be nearly lunch now..., Flyte decides to sits half in and half out my pocket, enjoying attracting lots of attention, but if anyone even thinks of heading in out direction, she hides back in the pocket until the danger has passed.

After our "Lunch", we wander around, looking at all the lovely cars, bikes, steam engines and huge trucks, and decide that this would be a good time to think about picking out our new caravan, Suz, plums for this...

Of course, we will need a new tow car...

Bit Bigger

Ahhhh, this should fit the ferret cages

Suz was all up for starting again with a nice modern camper van...

But I drew the line once I saw those Eye lashes.... Mind you, I have driven enough Volkswagen vans in the past, to know I never want one of those, with or with out the eye lashes...

Anyway, Flyte decided the view from the pocket was not really good enough, so decided to find a better place to get a good vista of the place.

And that is where she spent the rest of the day, either asleep, laying on her back, doing the paws over the eyes, or hanging out looking around...

We had a great day, and Flyte was a star, behaving impeccably...

I do think the best thing was, as she was so ensconced up there, I popped into one of the Gents mobile Toilets with out taking her out, and while standing there, minding my own business, she decided to pop out and lean over to see what the guy next to me was up to... adds a whole new meaning to "Performance anxiety"!!!, I think me may be scared for life
