Got dirty at last
I hope General topic's is the correct place for my story, Well I have taken the plunge, with all due respect to the members who offered to show me the ropes I wanted to start my off road experience with some professional tuition so I took a 3 hour training in your own vehicle option with Stuart Walker's Ultra Adventure Driving in North Wales. I took the family and had a great day out in LLangollen but my highlight was going to one of the training grounds 10 minuets away near Oswestry with my son and after a safety chat on does and don’ts I drove my beloved Pathie into axle deep water and mud, we drove up and down hilly banks that I would have had difficulty climbing, we drove up steps cut in the rocky ground and panicked a little when I could not see the ground below me or for that matter when all I could see out of the screen was sky no firm land, it was just fantastic what an experience I have missed all these years. Now I have my first off road drive under my belt there are going to be lots more and hopefully to meet members as well, don’t know if my son will be invited he wouldn’t let me back in the driving seat after he had a go, the smiles were so big they wouldn’t let him out of the door. The only sad bit was the camera broke and we only got a few picture of the muddy monster to bring home.
