Question: If you have a limited mileage policy, how do they know how many miles you have done?
I know your MOT recordes it each year, but thousands of people insure cars they haven't had for a year or sell them part way through the MOT year. And, as this thread says, if someone else has a policy that covers it they can drive your vehicle. So if I had a limit of 4000 miles a year, but lent my T2 to Lacroupade twice in that year for a trip to France, and he clocked up 5k miles on those trips, the car couls have covered 9k miles in ayear but i have driven less than 4K. so again - how would they know? |
