I stay in Pickering quite regularly which isn't far from Robin hoods bay. I do a lot of walks around Goathland (Where Heartbeat is filmed) There is a walk to a waterfall called Mallyan Spout which is highly recommended and there are 3 pubs in the village! Also Thornton-le-Dale has some great walks in and around the Dalby forest. If you go to Whitby the fish and chips are fantastic!

If you are in Whitby .....you could catch crabs ........loads of kids with handlines next to the bridge doing it .. sucess guaranteed
The Magpie Cafe is famous for it's fish and chips but if you want to eat in , be prepared to queue or get there early ! There is also a wonderful old fashioned baker and tea rooms on Skinner St Also a great tea room in Castleton and good pubs include Black Horse at Swainby , Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge , Feversham Arms in Farndale . Or you could call at Great Ayton for a Petcheys pork pie and finish off with a Suggits icecream I like Yorkshire me |

Where do you want to walk willow? We do tons of walking around there (unfortunately at work without reprieve the next few weeks) but if you want, I can send you some details.
Or alternatively just look up "Cleveland Way" you'll find what you want on marked paths too so theres no real need to test the map reading skills |
