HAVE YOU TRIED THIS WEB SITE YET, 3 D AND FLY ALONG A ROUTE .
MUCH BETTER THAN GOOGLE MAPPING.
YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD A FREE PROGRAM TO USE IT .

just had a look at flash earth. is there a 3 D converter i couldnt find one

Goggle earth is brilliant as i don’t know what our club international secretary looks like but i know where he lives in New Zealand, and i have seen his back yard!.

hi mav.
we have folks in the us ,and have done the same. have you tried th 3D imiging .had a look at the farm i used to live on followed the tracks along though the fields . try flying along the coast .

i reckon its about 8yrs outve date there just building across road from me in pics,i remember cutting deal with site security for load wood an insulation must be about 6yrs ago

are you talking about google earth or flash earth.
we have just looked at our house and the vectra is on the drive so that makes it nov 2003 at the oldest ,

I'm ok,google hasn't updated the st. picture for my town,rubbish view...lol Tried looking for some of the lanes in yorkshire we did,does anybody have the numbers for stanage?? would'nt mind a look! :

By numbers do you mean the grid refs or lats and longs?

if you look some sections are up to date almost.

My Old house in Portsmouth, you can see my old volvo and you can see where we havn't moved all the old paving slabs yet... that must be about 8 years old..

However my House in Lincolnshire you can see it notw, where as last year the mapping would not zoom in that close. I suspect they are up dating sections of the map on a daily basis.

I had a look on flashearth for our house & the photo showed our old mini so the pic must of been taken 5 & 1/2 years back

No dont think there is Ian.


As far a I understand all the pictures on them are from aerial photos not as people think from satellites.

I think the Nasa one is a satellite picture but of weather and you have to pull right back out to see the clouds etc.
