Next project
Should anyone see anything like this on there travels please let me know. This one is too far away for me and I would ideally like a SWB.

Further than I wanted but I like the spec and the engines only just run in, so I'm bidding on this one:

Watching both, but thre first is too old. Its also been re listed several times as his reserve is £450 which is way over odds.
May consider the second if it gets no bids and goes cheap. |

Need very little doing to them, a suspension lift can be from as little as £55 and wheels tyres are the same everywhere (roughly). But there are more aftermarket bits available for landies, question is do you need them or just want them?
My Patrol was very basic with all interior stripped out and no posh bits, but it was warm reliable comfortable and did all I asked. Cost less than a winch rope for a landie!! |

Would you say this is too big to take off road, I am watching it but not long left?

Dump the "running boards" : (sidesteps) and it will be no worse than a 110 Defender, except a decent engine, strong axles, tighter turning circle - OH OK - it'll be a lot better than a 110 Defender.
Migt be a tad thirsty mind you 4.2 petrol AUTOMATIC. |

Damn you Cameraman!
I have been looking at older SWB patrols now and I want one! A while ago I was thinking of selling the Nav and getting some 4x4 project and a subaru, Now you got me thinking of just getting the project aswell! Are they coil sprung all the way around? The 4.2 must have loads of power low down! |

Well it seems the one I wanted is going to go for silly money, if I bid more then its too much with having to collect it.
I'm watching about 7 or 8 at the mo and have made an offer on a P reg which is local (link from Bigbadwulf) the dealer turned me down then listed it again for just £95 more? Can't quite get my head around that one. So I think I'll keep my money and go for a banger with MOT and just run it. When it dies put it back on E bay and buy another : |
