Default Air Bag Recall

My 3 litre is in for air bag recall tomorrow. Apparently they need it for two days as it spends a whole day connected to the computer, really I smell something there. It actually isn’t causing me a problem but I hate people that lie to me.

It’s a recall so FOC matey. It really isn’t a problem but the lady on service reception talks a load of poo. When i booked it in a few weeks a go, there was a terrible screeching noise coming from the car park. A bloke had just picked up a Leaf as a loan car, she saw me looking and told me that’s what an electric car sounds like when reversing to tell people they are reversing. A few seconds later the service manager came charging out of his office and told her to stop that man reversing and tell him how to take the parking brake off

Use the mot link on here as it also tells you if you need a recall as well as mot info.

took it back as agreed but this time i had a free loan car,yes free but it cost me 19.99 for the ins on it,anyway it was done the next day.

Hi PB
I had mine 'done' 2yrs ago. They did bugger all and had it all day, no certificate no nothing, and I still had an airbag light on. Worst Nissan dealership ever.
Part of the Westway Group, Southampton branch.

Mine is included again on the recent 'mandatory' recall.
Just at the minute, i've got a fair bit going on, and honestly cant be bothered.

What I'd like to know is, what are they actually doing/done for you, and have they given you a schedule of work (written or verbal).
Thanks

Davey

I'm sure I had paperwork when mine was done, the dealership has to account for its time too.

Yeah my son picked it up yesterday afternoon. No paperwork of any description and of course he didn’t ask anything. I’ve had a look today and found they had unplugged the dash cam? What was that about?
Anyhoo no lights or anything else wrong so just crack on with one job ticked off the list.

Unplugging the dash cam, maybe they were a bit paranoid of being recorded and filming life in the workshop.
To be honest, I would if working in a garage not want to be filmed or audio recorded by a customers camera's all day.

Totally take your point about that but by the same token we should of been informed they did it. Mind if the stupid person had only looked it turns off with ignition. Personally none of this stops me feeling annoyed that someone interfered with my property and actually caused a fault which was easily rectified but if I hadn’t of just happened to be sat in passenger seat I wouldn’t of noticed it.
