As daft as it sounds that sorta appeals to me more than organising a trip for ages then doing it. If I have a reason/mission it makes things feel different, no worrying about stuff, just head down and get on with it, if you catch my drift

Wheelie I never plan for a trip on my own.
I’m travelling with a chum. A golden rule in my book.
I have a Lodar controlled Goodwinch.

The inflator is the good old 400p.
Simple on/off switch.
Not switched at the gauge.

Just a little point here, removing the thermostat is very bad news, it not only controls the temperature but also the flow rate, the circulater/pump is very powerful, (look at my off road motor with rad in rear) so what happens is the flow is so great that at stud hole positions the coolant cavitates on the up stream side of the casting causing localised boiling which very quickly leads to ball bearing like holes in the head, if your stat fails shut then remove it and jam it open then the design flow rate will not be exceeded, and yes if yours is Auto take a starter, Rick
