What’s Everyone Up To?
What’s everyone getting up to this weekend, it’s the count down to Christmas.
After a quick shopping trip that lasted all morning I coaxed Matts-Terrano out of bed and we set about the project truck. Earlier in the week I made two repair panels to complete the passenger side wheel arch. 15 minutes later he had them welded in place and not long after he was putting the welder away. I seem sealed the welds that we had done, sprayed primer and a final coat of waxoyl. Tomorrow a quick trip out in the morning before a bit more waxoyling and finally replacing the passenger side rear wheel. Hopefully not long after will turn the truck around before jacking up and starting to cut out the rotten metal in the rear wheel arch. If I’m lucky will be able to start making metal repair panels. Yes the very same project truck I had given up hope on. However, all this said I need to really motor on with the course work now too because next weekend is a crucial weekend on the course. So that’s me |

Glad to see you have found your MoJo again...
Our weekend is not going so well, I have the man flu, but was looking forward to tugging Santa's sleigh last nigt, only to have it cancelled at the last moment, as the Charity we are doing it for could not get enough volunteers. Got up late today, as I have had a few rough nights because of the man flu, and then headed off to Orpington to do some shopping. Got back late, and have just finished helping Suz make her own "Mince Meat" for Christmas Mince pies. Tomorrow, I hope to put up the outside Christmas lights... We did have a bit of fun, in a charity shop, we saw a Santa suit for a small dog. After the words, "dare", & "ferret" were said out loud, we parted with £1, and when I got back home, I tried to dress Lion the ferret as Father Christmas. When I got back from A&E!! Just as well the suit is already Red. Actually, he was very funny, just as I expected, and has been threatening to get his own back all evening. |

Ouch, a Richard Whitley moment there
Yeah I came down with the man flu last weekend, made it to work monday but I’d had so little sleep and was feeling so rough even the wife said it wasn’t wise to drive Tuesday so ended up off last week but Friday I had booked as leave anyway. Not really so sure I’ve got mojo back just sick to death of the bloody thing sat straight outside the front door. I’ll pay for spending some time on the truck next weekend when I haven’t handed any course work in. Anyhoo onwards and upwards as they say. |

Just in case it did not come across in my post, he was only playing, and those photos show the furthest his teeth got into my skin. Lion is our out and out Thug ferret who is always up for a wind up, usually at either mine or Suz's expense, but he winds all the other ferrets up as well.

Had an annoying intermittent clunk on the front driver's side of the terrano so I investigated the front end and found that the welds had cracked on the compression rod bush cup.
Our with the grinder and welder and it was soon sorted. IMG-20171202-WA0003.jpg |

Latish home on Friday followed by more work yesterday and a farewell do for a colleague in the evening. Today is mostly "me" time, so a couple of hours on the bike this morning and a wander around town later, mixing it with chores.
I should give the truck a wash as the new roofrack and roof tent are going on in a couple of weeks. I should get the second battery wired in properly (but I'll probably leave that until Christmas hols when I'll have more time). Early night as I've an early morning meeting in Morecambe tomorrow. Rock and Roll lifestyle. |
