Not strictly true, but...
Hi,
Sorry not strictly true about I'm new here, but I would just like to leave a last post. Sorry I've not been on for a long while. I am sad to say that my 2001 Terrano is being sold as my MOT tester didn't want to see it again. Mainly welding which I can't do, so I have decided to sell her. It's a shame really as she has only covered just over 49K miles. So I'd just like to thank everyone on here who has helped me and I wish you all the best. Thanks again. Steve |

Banshee - sorry can't replay to your PM. I am open to reasonable offers, apart from the welding (I can't be sure isf anything else is needed) the engine etc has only just done over 49k, so hardly run-in I did put it on the Facebook page Nissan terrano & ford maverick owners UK Facebook page for £1200 hoping for an offer around that or you tell me what it's worth. Someone was coming out to see it today, but was let down "Terrano 2.7TD 5 Door SE Plus Auto 2001 - 49k Miles from new £1,200 I don't know what this would go for price wise, so I am open to offers around this figure due to the low miles. Note - It has side steps on now. This was bought new buy my father-in-laws brother. I have had it for three years, apart from servicing I have only had to put a battery on it (New battery fitted last year). Has never let me down, drives good. Only done 49k from new (barely run-in), mechanically OK. MOT tester told me not bring it back again, something about the radiator cross member.... Can't say 100% what else needs doing. It's a fixer upper, but I am not able to weld/repair. I bought oil and air filter as I was going to give it and oil change etc, but didn't after what the tester said. I will include the filters. There is also a nice bull bar I will include if the price is right which I never got round to fitting. Also headlamp protectors will be included. Has the rear bench seat also. I am selling before MOT/tax runs out so can be driven away. Taxed until 1st May 2017, MOT'd until 8th June 2017. I am just north of Ipswich, Suffolk. Cream leather seats, front passenger has damage to seat where I assume that my FIL brother rested his hand on it while driving and had oily hands? Front wings as usual are rusted more than in the pictures, now, LCD display plays up as normal..Tyres good. Note that pictures are taken last year when I had just cleaned it Interior pictures taken today. PM me for further details." |

Mate, your mot guy sounds like a prick, if that's all that's wrong it's no biggie!!!
Get the yellow pages out, a local mobile welder could sort that with both arms tied!! Don't get ripped off buddy, if you want rid of it still repair it and get proper money for it |

I can't say 100% what needs doing welding wise, I can see that the radiator crossmember needs doing, maybe a sill/mount, both front wings, the drivers side bumper to wing support, sorry don't know what to call it. It is more than what I am prepared to pay out on it, so just want to sell it on.
I just need someone who can weld and want a project. It has only done just over 49k miles. I have already got another truck which I collect tomorrow, so would like to sell the Terrano asap. I had someone coming to look at it at 1pm today, but I got a text at 09:30 saying that their car has broken down so cannot come I will update the advert on the Facebook page to best offer take her home, fingers crossed |

Paff, got to agree with the others it really doesn't sound as bad as you are thinking it is. The front crossmember is nothing, can build it off the truck and bolt it all together and then bolt it onto the truck.
I'm sorry if this offends as its not meant to do but the figure you mentioned in your earlier post is optimistic for a spares or repair truck which is how you are making it sound. Fix it up and sell it if you must but seriously it's an easy fix I'm sure. If you were closer to me I'd do a deal with you. Since I'm not very close get it fixed. |

It's difficult but at the end of the day it's got an mot, it's not like you've taken it for a test and failed. I've been looking on eBay for a good few weeks now as we will be looking to replace my wifes that was written off. There are all kinds of prices on eBay. Take a look and see what you think. You could be honest and tell people what you suspect or you could plead ignorance to anything.
I still think that yours could be a fixer. |

Having put the Terrano up for sale (Auto Trader etc) and all I seem to get are wide boys from the smoke offering me silly money to take it away. One guy wants to drive it down to the docks for export....
Lowered the price to £850 as it has only done 49k miles, can't seem to get a genuine buyer.... Just want it gone now as four vehicles in the drive is one too many... |
