Default New Patrol owner

Hi All,

My name is Luc and I live in Derby. I have been messing with various cars for past few years and now finally managed to buy my first Nissan Patrol
It's a Y61 2.8 Long. It came on a 3-4 inch lift and decent tyres (235 85 16 MT) It has seen some offroading...
It must have been a light version as rust took some body bits away This is now done so it should last for few years.

I have cleaned it up as it was a mess inside. Refurbing rear calipers this weekend so it's ready for MOT.

By the way tyres will be for sale soon as getting steel wheels (ET-25) and 285 75 16 MTs

The plan is to turn it into expedition truck, so roof rack, bed inside, spots, etc... For the moment however I need to sort out the cold start issue my struck suffers from.

Welcome from another Patrol owner. Your plans sound like a prime subject for a build thread. And it is actually forum law that you provide many pictures for us to drool over

Thanks

No, paint was done by a guy who runs small bodyshop (he knows his trade) and his dad did the welding All for not bad price considering they had to make new body panels for it.

Full leather inside although pretty dry. Unfortunately car was neglected until it came to my door step

Managed to pick up full size roof rack - Cruz Safari

I know I still got few basic bits to sort out first but I have wheels with tyres and snorkel on the way

At first everything seems expensive but long hours on the internet you can get proper bargains
