Welcome board from another member in gods own county, where abouts are you? We've got quite a few members from this neck of the woods.
Loads of members on here do green laning but don't assume there isn't damage because sadly it does happen from time to time. Terranos can handle a he k of a lot so not too bad really. Carefull with the 4wd tho, don't use it on a hard surface, wheels need to be able to slip a little. |

Hi & wecome join as a full member only a tenner for the year & you'll be able to post in every section & see some hidden sections like the down loads on how to fix your truck & how to read & clear any fault codes with out having to pay a garage or buy anything is worth it on it's own Green laning is loads of fun & on easy to medium type lanes you shouldn't pick up any damage apart from the odd scratch from bushes but 99% of the time these have polished out fine but saying that I did crack a bumper once on an easy lane oops, hard to more extreme lanes then there is a good chance of getting some damage. Have driven the North Yorkshire moors a few times & never got a mark on my old Terrano

Hi and welcome! Glad you've gone for a terrano, cracking trucks and very forgiving too, as mentioned they also do very well offroad, I've been in some good muck!
Unfortunately we had a few people join up with 4x4 issues, they had been running the 4wd on Tarmac upto 70mph I suppose the easy way to judge if you need 4wd is - how fast are you going? What surface are you on? The wheels need to be able to spin at different speeds. Yon can also test your 4wd in a straight line on Tarmac though Checkout transmission windup, here we are sir - http://www.outbackcrossing.com.au/Fo..._Wind-Up.shtml Happy terranoing!! Oh lastly, you mentioned doing off-roading but no damage, there are groups about that do casual laning and choose specific lanes to avoid body damage |

Hi there
Welcome to the club if you do join its well worth the money I am in my 4th year I think even though I sold my Terrano r3mR 18 months ago !!
As for off roading its not something I have done since I was a teenager and TBH I care too much about my motor to put her through it though I fully understand those who get the thrill. In the 70's me and my mate used to Club Rally a Cooper S I was just the navigator but we re-shelled the body twice !! It was an expensive game but my Missus called a holt on it when she saw the motor one morning after we had rolled her end over end. No injuries (full harness belts) except pride as the full roll cage held it all together. |
